Vega de Valcarce
The “vega” of a river valley indicates its widest point which is also the point where there is most arable land and hence a very desirable point for a settlement. Vega de Valcarce is the best facilitised village on this stretch of the Camino. It contains the last cash machine until Triacastela so if you are low on cash, take the opportunity and take some extra cash out. Also, Vega contains two supermarkets which again are the last opportunity to get supplies for the next day and a half.
