The bar at the campsite just before San Marcos is a popular stopping point but personally I prefer the restaurant A Calzada in San Marcos itself as an excellent brunch/lunch stop.

The camping site cafe/bar on the corner at the very start of San Marcos is the traditional last rest stop before Santiago itself but in 2018 a brand-new restaurant / bar called A Calzada has opened 1.2km further down road in San Marcos itself.
