HISTORY: Población de Campos has one of the Camino’s most fascinating bodega complexes, constructed like an underground village. Uphill behind the Bar Angel on the main street.

DIRECTIONS: From Población there are two routes to Villalcázar, one broadly parallel to the river, the other over the bridge along the main road. Both are now well waymarked past Villaviejo (route a).

DIRECTIONS: The route is easy to follow. There is a picnic area and water tap at Villaviejo, also a bar, only open in summer. Continue alongside the river until an arrow left to Villarmentero de Campos. Little shade and water on this route.

DIRECTIONS: The road route via Revenga de Campos and Villarmentero de Campos has regular picnic areas with water taps.
