Small grocery shop, open 10:00-14:00 and 16:00-21:00 Mon-Sat. Medical centre open Mon, Wed and Fri. Pharmacy open 10:00-14:00 and 17:00-20:00 on weekdays. The bar opposite the albergue serves food in the evening, except on Sundays.

In this friendly village there is a monument of a cross cut out of a large stone dedicated to us pilgrims! Almost hidden behind the cross is a water fountain which is a real blessing on a hot day. The church in Villares is dedicated to Saint James and the village’s main festival is the feast of Saint James (July 24th / 25th).
