HISTORY: Detour. The Monastery of Carracedo at the small village Carracedo del Monasterio. A 4 km detour to this large, impressive Cistercian monastery, open 10:00-13:00 & 16:00-19:00 (not Mon). There is a map in the Main Square of Camponaraya. The route is well waymarked with arrows: from the square follow the carretera de Narayola (2 kms), cross Narayola, and 2 kms more through the Calle Real, after crossing under the Autovía del Nordeste A-6, you reach the monastery.

DIRECTIONS: Leaving the albergue, you take the road to Cacabelos, 3 kms and you reach Cacabelos center.
