From O Cebreiro to here the camino has been very largely downhill following river valleys. From here on it crosses numerous small river valleys. This involves many ups and downs.

The church of Santiago de Boente is a 20th century church but generally is left open and provides the opportunity to get 5 minutes of calm and coolness on a sweltering day as well as a stamp.

The fountain next to the stone cross in Boente called the Fonte de Saleta is said to have curative powers. In my experience, any water fountain on a sweltering day has curative powers.
