In 895 King Alfonso III gave control of this town to Santiago de Compostela and it became a popular overnight stay for medieval pilgrims. In 1072, however, King Alfonso VI had to stop the local lord “taxing” pilgrims here. Once again Trabadelo is a popular overnight stay with a wide variety of accommodation available.
Casa Susi is run by an Australian lady (Susi) and is of particular note as it uses single beds rather than bunk beds.
