🚶 Camino Accommodation Guide

La Faba

Stage Notes & History

PLAIN: Just before you reach O Cebreiro, you enter the fourth and last Autonomous Region traversed by the Camino Francés: Galicia (province of Lugo). Galicia has its own language, Gallego (a sister language to Portuguese), and signs are often in this rather than Castilian.

PLAIN: The albergues in Galicia run by the Xunta of Galicia usually open at 16:00 or earlier, at 13:00, in high season. There is a local paid warden and whilst there may be a kitchen very few have a supply of pans. The standard charge is 8€. A disposable bed sheet and pillow case is provided but blankets are not. They may allow a second night stay, if space is available.
