Bodega Molina serves a 6€ menú from 13:00. Bar-Tienda Izcue, on way out of the village, open from 07:00. Panadería in the church square is open from 05:30.

The Church of Santa Maria 12th & 16th c. has a recently restored retablo.

In 920 Lorca was the site of battle between King Sancho I of Pamplona and Muhammad Abenlope which Sancho I lost. However, despite this particular defeat Sancho won the war and was able to extend his kingdom from the lands around Pamplona as far as Nájera. Sancho I is buried in Villamayor de Monjardín which you will pass through tomorrow.

Lorca like many Camino towns is long and narrow. There is a water tap in the small park just before the albergues. The albergues are opposite each other on the Camino and both have good reputations. Many pilgrims, including myself, use the albergue on the right (Albergue de Lorca) as their lunch stop.
